The BIG Maze at the National Building Museum
We might be a little late posting about this one, but I would be pretty upset with myself if I failed to mention that BIG architects -- Bjarkes Ingels Group -- constructed something in DC.
I know, I know, you're sitting there saying "BIG? Who is that and why do I care?"
And I know most people probably won't care about this, but for me being an Architect in the nation's capitol, this is pretty exciting news. Through architectural school I watched a small firm based in Denmark transform themselves into one of the most influencial Architectural firms in the world. They now design and build some of the most important architectural works of our time and will certainliy be a force in the industry for a long time to come.
So yeah - BIG architects building something in DC is pretty cool. Well, for me at least.
The maze is only open until September 1st, so if you haven't done so yet, be sure to make your way to the National Building Museum before it's gone.
In the meantime check out this super cool time lapse video of the construction process.
